Responsibilities
Key Tasks:
- Provide professional customer service.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- Load and unload goods.
- Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Conduct emergency roadside repairs.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, managing all aspects of the vehicle.
- Carry out preventive maintenance.
- Ensure safety and security of cargo, including tarping when necessary.
Credentials
Required Certificates and Licences:
- Driver’s License (Class 1 or A).
Experience and Specialization:
- Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, pre-trip/en-route/post-trip inspection reports, maintenance, and repair reports.
- Transportation/Travel Experience: Long-haul.
- Area of Specialization: Truck driving.
