Job Description Insurance Advisor

Role: Hybrid Contact Centre Representative Insurance Advisor
Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week), evenings required
Schedule: Monday & Saturday are mandatory working days
Training: Full-time paid training (approximately 10 weeks)
Licensing: Not required, but an asset
Language: Fluency in English required; bilingual (English/French) is an asset

Job Responsibilities Insurance Advisor

As a Contact Centre Representative, Insurance Advisor you will:

  • Engage with Customers: Provide value-based advice and friendly support while helping customers with home and vehicle Insurance Advisor inquiries.
  • Problem-Solve Efficiently: Address customer inquiries with empathy and resolve issues at the first point of contact.
  • Achieve Performance Goals: Meet customer service, quality, compliance, and productivity targets.
  • Continue Learning: Participate in ongoing training and coaching to enhance your skills and career development.

Work Environment

After in-person training and on boarding, Insurance Advisor this role follows a hybrid model. You are required to work from a TD office at least two days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely from a secure home office that meets system requirements (e.g., high-speed internet). Hybrid work arrangements may change based on business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Post-secondary education and/or relevant experience
  • Availability to work Monday – Friday (8 AM – 11 PM) and Saturdays (9 AM – 8 PM)
  • Strong listening skills and a passion for customer service (experience in financial or service industries preferred)
  • Ability to multitask, navigate multiple screens, and manage customer interactions efficiently
  • Digital proficiency across various devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, headsets, etc.)
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in handling challenges
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity in managing sensitive customer information in compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • General Insurance license (e.g., Other Than Life for Ontario) is an asset
