We have an exciting opportunity at our site in Tower Hamlets, East London, for a Catering Assistant to join the team at Accent from September 2023. This role is working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, term time only – so that’s all the school holidays off!
Joining our site, you will need to be a naturally outgoing individual and be a team player. Working as part of a team your daily tasks will mainly consist of:
- general kitchen duties
- salad bar & vegetable prep
- putting away deliveries
- serving, cleaning and washing up
- maintaining high standards of presentation of food and replenishing counters keeping them looking attractive throughout the service time
- speaking to each customer in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
- assisting customers whenever necessary, listening to any comments they may have and relaying these to the Manager or Chef
- undertaking all basic training and work effectively with colleagues as part of a team
This is a customer facing position so in addition to the above you will also need good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the English language.
Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
You will be required to prove your right to work in the UK and to provide two referees at interview stage.
