JOB DESCRIPTION
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in guest rooms, hallways and public areas, according to established Hotel Housekeeping Standards.
Duties
- Clean public areas, back of the house and exterior building including outdoor swimming pool & hot tub
- Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, upholstered furniture and occasionally ceilings and vents.
- Wash doors, windows, walls of public areas
- Keep work area stocked, organized and clean at all times as defined by the task list and cleaning schedules posted in the department.
- Ensure that public areas and back of the house work areas meet the established standards of cleanliness to assure guest satisfaction.
- Snow Removal when needed
Job Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience an asset
- Able to communicate in English
- Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs of a hotel environment (including week-ends, holidays and overnight shifts as required
- Must have own accommodation
TASKS
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
- Dust furniture
- Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
- Make beds and change sheets
- Distribute clean towels and toiletries
- Stock linen closet
- Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- Disinfect operating rooms and other areas
- Clean and disinfect elevators
- Handle and report lost and found items
- Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items
- Provide basic information on facilities
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Wash windows, walls and ceilings
- Clean changing rooms and showers
- Address customers’ complaints or concerns
- Work Term: Permanent
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 40 hours per week
Physical Demands:
- Lifting – under 30 lbs, Carrying – over 30 lbs
- Pulling – over 30 lbs – bending, standing, reaching and kneeling`
