Job Description
What you’ll be doing
As part of the Environmental Services team, this position provides a cleaning service to the facility according to a predetermined service plan. The cleaner is responsible for maintaining all surfaces, fittings, fixtures and furniture within their allocated area as per NSW Health Environmental Cleaning Policy PD2012_061.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Previous experience as a cleaner in a healthcare facility or in a commercial/industrial setting, or demonstrated ability to perform in role
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of work health and safety principles, including safe manual handling and infection control
